hello i am writing just to ask i have been locked out of my microsoft account and whilst trying to sign in it tells me someone else is using your account (*** Email address is removed for privacy ***) so i tried getting a code to my wifes email address but it doesnt seem to be working
i have currently set up a new hotmail account as i am in the military and need it to recieve important e-mails and need to get onto my old account as there are improtant things i need to get back off there. i have tried to reset the password but nothing came
of it and still said someone else is using ur hotmail account. could you please help me .
I can login to Outlook with my hotmail.com address but can't view any emails. How can I access my old hotmail account?

Now that Microsoft has announced IMAP support for Outlook.com hosted email accounts, how do I convert my exisitng account in Mac Mail from a POP to an IMAP account.
My account was created initially as a @live.com account (with and @outlook.com alias). I added my Microsoft hosted account some time ago into Mac Mail and it shows up in the preference pane for that account as a POP account. The server for my existing account is listed in the preferences as "Windows Live (POP)"
I would like to convert from POP to IMAP and still retain all my existing emails. I do not wish to create a new IMAP account for my Microsoft hosted email and lose what I have archived over the years.
I use the version of Mac Mail that came with Mountain Lion for email services.

I am embarassed and upset to realize that after all these years, in the midst of a migraine I allowed my self to fall victim to a phishing scam. i am sure of it. I don't want a lecture but want to know what the implications are and what I can do. Here
are the specifics: The e- mail appeared to come from Microsoft..same logos etc.. it referenced security codes and asked for verification of my account and basically what I did was change passwords. In doing so, i gave them my old password to my hotmail account................I
have no financial dealings on my computer etc..not much to steal......other than other's e- mail addresses............Am I right? Is this a scam? Thanks, C. (the embarassed)

I just logged in and it let me change the display name. Assume next time I log in on another PC it will be correct? Thanks for the help!

My hotmail account of the last 5 years as of today can no longer be accessed by me. I noticed it this morning when my blackberry would download the mails. Tried logging in, no luck. After panicking, I tried the recover password, gave me the option to answer
questions. Answered them as much as I could, answers were not correct and I got an automated email saying it was wrong. Account has been locked. Few hours later, I tried again, still no luck. I've tried to remember as much as I can, but with the fact that
I've had the account several years ago, I can't remember much. I've used the same password for lots of different things and suspect thats how I must of got hacked as recently gave it to someone as I couldnt log into my temp job hour submission portal. I know,
very silly of me to do that.
Anyway, is there anything at all you can do to help?
