i recently subscribed to artdeadline.com via the Internet, a service for artist that I have known about for a while. (It's a legitimate business, I know this for sure.) they should have send me an e-mail with my logon and password. when I didn't receive it I send them an e-mail. when I didn't receive it again I looked in my junk box because sometimes e-mails that aren't supposed to get there. I found a message from a person from artdeadline.com indicating that they had send me my logon/password e-mail when they were supposed too, and they had re-send it upon receiving my notification. but the e-mail wasn't in any part of my e-box that I could see. I even went to my list of accepted mail and put their name in, something I have never done before, but I still haven't received my logon/password e-mail. the person at artdeadline.com believes that the problem is in my end. maybe she's right but I don't know enough technical stuff to ascertain that. I don't know what to do. any ideas?

I have not been able to search my email for weeks. I have had outlook for quite some time now and this is the first time I've encountered this. I moved over from hotmail awhile ago. I do a substantial amount of work through my email and this is becoming a huge problem. If I cannot search my email, I cannot complete my work. Please fix this or I will have to migrate to another email account. I do not want to do that.
The error message I get every time I try to perform a search is this: "There was a problem with the Outlook service (a temporary network connectivity issue that has nothing to do with your computer). Please try again. If you keep seeing this message, go to Service status to check if there's a problem with Outlook".
I too am hopelessly stuck with all emails from <2005 missing from hotmail account. I didn't change aliases, names, access schemes, methods, or anything else through the entire outlook conversion. I only use the web interface - have for >13 years.
Please advise. I don't look for ancient emails often but I do need them from time to time. I don't know the exact date they disappeared but it was in the past 4 to 5 months since my last search for old old emails.
Help please
