To keep my account secure, I recently reset my password on my mailbox. I use the mailbox for both work and personal purposes. The mailbox is different than my name so I could keep it separate and distinct for what I use it for. Therefore, the profile information
was fictional or incomplete. I was released by my employer. I'm trying to get into all my mailboxes that I used on my company issued laptop and that I had set to automatically log me in when I went to hotmail.com and entered my mailbox name. The 'alternate'
email address was my work address and the mobile number was a 'work' cell phone, both of which I had to surrender upon exiting. I'd like to get control of my own mailbox once again however I'm not remembering the 'new' password. I've tried several
times to complete the reset password form but since most of the information was fictional I don't remember what I put in some of the fields Support asks for. I'd be willing to talk to someone on the phone or by email to resolve this issue. I'll provide any
information you need to verify who I am. As of now I'm being asked to create a new account but there are important emails in my inbox of this account that I need. Can you help me? Again, I will provide any sort of verification you'd like including my other hotmail.com/outlook.com addresses to prove I'm a real person and owner of the mailbox.

Someone other than myself has signed me up to an automated e-mail list which relays YouTube links to sermons, accompanied by a written message in huge bold red type. This organzation is named *** Email address is removed for privacy *** and has a no-reply address.
I hate to sound grumpy about this, but I'm a Hicksite Quaker, and they are a Biblical literalist hellfire and brimstone organization. Fair enough, they're certainly entitled to freedom of religion, but I want them to quit prosetylizing to me, through automation, several times a day. Marking them as spam in my gmail account doesn't work, the e-mails still arrive in my inbox. Trying to unsubscribe through outlook.com doesn't work because outlook.com tells me I'm not subscribed to anything. Unsubscribing though YouTube doesn't work, I have no YouTube account. E-mailing them at *** Email address is removed for privacy *** doesn't work, it bounces back through mailer daemon. Trying to open a chat doesn't work, either, as no one is ever on-line and my chat requests go unanaswered.
Does anyone have any additional ideas on how to block these repeated and intrusive messages? I really don't want to formally complain about abuse to outlook.com or get them in any trouble. They're entitled to prosetylize I suppose, but how the heck do I turn them off?
My Hotmail account (mw*****@hotmail.com) has been blocked by Microsoft because of incorrect birth information (adult verification needed). I faxed my official ID and all other required information to Microsoft at 1 (425) 936-7329 to prove that I'm an adult user. That was two days ago. My account is still inaccessible. How long does it take MS to process the issue? How do I know if MS has received my fax? Is there any way to track the progress? Am I going to lose the whole account if it's not active over a period of time? It's my work email. I can't afford keeping missing important messages like this. Please help. This is urgent.
Original post was answered, then closed. I too have the same issue - on now two iPhones. My wife's phone has been doing it since the 5 was released (removing outlook email fixes it, but she can't live without it) while our other 2 phones worked fine. However, my phone has started behaving the same way: more than 10% drop per hour... much more! Where just last month I would see a total battery loss of 20-25% for a full day's use (probably 16 hours unplugged) I'm now experiencing a complete drain to the point of shut off in 5 or 6 hours. Again, like my wife's, if I remove the Outlook email, the problem disappears.
Setting it to sync via "pull" is not a solution... it's a workaround. I held out for iOS7 to see if it cured the problem, but it has not. Two phones, one on iOS7 the other on iOS 6.1.4 have the same problem - with the MSN mail. Below is the original post that I found from MelHos from this past January. The resolution was some confuguration changes to the account, and that seemed to resolve the issue.

Push Hotmail on iPhone constantly checking, draining battery

I think this is a strange one. When I configure my hotmail account in my iPhone 5 (via Hotmail or Exchange), if it is set to Push, the battery drains very, very quickly (10%+ per hour). My husband has an identical phone and his hotmail works fine with push. In addition, when my husband configures his hotmail account on my phone with push, everything is ok too. So this is down to my individual hotmail account and only when using it in push mode. Fetch mode is ok. The apple store guy suggested that the phone appears to be constantly checking for mails instead of just periodically. They have also replaced the phone twice (before the troubleshooting was so precise), so it is not the phone.
Wondering if anyone has any thoughts? I do not know how this all works, but is there some kind of flag that is stuck in an on position for my account telling my phone that there is some mail to check for?? No idea.
Any help would be appreciated.

Outlook allowed me to send the email with an attachment, but soon after I began receiving a pop up stating "the IMAP server wants to notify me the attachment is too large, limit to 20 MB" It continually pops up every 10-15 minutes. There is no outgoing
emails of pending emails. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

I have a Microsoft Exchange email account for my work email and use Outlook on my laptop while at work. I have added the android Outlook.com app to my phone. My work email address is the primary one for my new Microsoft account. No email shows up in the
mobile app. I assumed there would be a setup step within the mobile app for specifying the server. My resident email app does.
Hello -- in the last 15-30 minutes or so, all of a sudden, basically all of the mail I've received in a really long time has reappeared, unread, in all of my folders (Inbox, Junk, etc). I've gone from basically a clean inbox to having 9,000 unread messages
in my inbox, all of which I'd previously deleted.

i have a problem with receiving forwarding emails from my own domain, which are send from google account.
So, when I'm sending mail:
- from google to hotmail - it's ok
- from my other emails account to my own domain (there is forwarding to hotmail) - it's ok
- from google to my own domain (there is forwarding to hotmail) - it's a problem (logs from my own domain show me, there is all allright and emails are send - but i cannot receiving nothing)
I tried these steps with my new outlook account too - but same problem..
