Why does 'reply' open a full empty sheet and does not have the previous emails that I want to answer.

Original title: windows live mail

I have been having a lot of trouble with my email Live Mail (weeks). When I try to open it I get an error message 0X8001161.

I tried everything I could think of and finally in desperation picked a restore date and set it going.

It worked for a couple of days and then the same thing happened .

To read my emails I have had to log on to my provider website and I don't have access to the address list.

Any suggestions?

Hello, All,

Since this morning, I can't get an action with Reply, Forward, or New email in my hotmail account.

I've rebooted, without results.

Right-clicking attempts are futile, too.

It doesn't freeze or give an error message; nothing happens when I click any of those buttons.

No one else uses this computer, and another email address I have using MS Office Outlook 2003 has no issues.

I am using MS 7, IE 10.0.

Incoming alerts and mail works, and I can view every letter received.

Any suggestions would be appreciated!

 Cheers, Pete

Dear Microsoft,
I am a server administrator  and have a client with website and domain hosted with our company.  They have clients with windows live email and outlook.com email.  when a client trys to email them the email address turns read and when sent it gets returned.  we have isolated this problem to Microsoft.  the problem does not happen  when mail is sent to the client from gmail or any other email provider. the problem only happens on Microsoft web based mail. Here is the email that is sent back when the client sends an email to this one domain on our server.

Every time I attempt to upload an attachment on my Hotmail (Outlook) account I get this error message.

Internet Explorer has stopped working

A problem caused the program to stop working correctly.  Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available.

It then proceeds to kick me out of my email I was in.  I never had this issue until Outlook merged with Hotmail.  Has anyone else had this issue?  If so how were you able to resolve it.

Thanks,

Salina

I created a new account yesterday and I realized I really don't have a need for it. When I try to close that account, I get a message saying you cannot show me the page. I have validated that account twice (email & then text) already and I don't know why I am having an issue. The only reason I am here is because of the fact that I cannot even post to the community.
Can you assist me with this other account

Windows Live Mail will not open.  I get the following error message:

Windows Live Mail could not be started. Closing Windows Mail. Your calendar contains corrupt data that is forcing Windows Live Mail to close. 0x8E5E0408

How can I correct this problem?

When I 'reply' to an email..  a blank sheet comes up to the sender, but does not include the posted 'past' emails.  I have to switch back and forth between the blank sheet and the past message in order to answer.  Why is it not on the same page anymore?

How do I get rid of the blank 'reply' sheet?   Is this a new Windows Live update?
