Saving drafts

When I prepare an e-mail, then decide to save it in drafts, I hit the x in the upper corner and am asked if I want to save it. I say yes, and it appears in the draft folder. When I then go into the draft and make a change and hit the x again I get a message saying "the TCP/IP connection was unexpectedly terminated by the server". I look in the draft folder and at first there is nothing there. Then a few seconds later both the original version and the revised version appear in the folder. What's going on?

I have 'googled' this on this site and found the directions, but now that I have exported my contacts to a file on my computer, I can not longer click on Contacts and get a ribbon bar. Please help! What am I doing wrong? I am an Office Manager at a busy company and I NEED MY CONTACTS! TIA

Windows Live Mail and Internet Explorer 11

I updated to IE 11 from 9 now my Windows Live Mail 2012 won't start. Same thing happened in the past when I tried loading IE 10. Tried "repairing" Windows Essentials with no luck. When trying to run Live Mail, I now get a message saying that problems with the program have caused it to stop working, but I get no error code.

Hello,


I've just bought a new laptop and could receive all emails from the server till yesterday, but today I can't download any new emails from the server for only 1 account out of other 3 accounts which they are working correctly.


see print screen, the account checked with correct mark and with zero new messages, while there are 100 messages on the server, I checked the inbox and I can see only 82 messages and all new 18 messages the windows live mail can't see them at all.



Please advice.

Live Mail – after moving emails to a new folder they all open to the same message

I created a new folder and moved 12 emails into it. When I click on any of the emails they show the same message!

Either that or "A problem occurred while trying to open this message".

So, I copied all the emails in the folder into a new folder, but it has the same problem.

Then I backed up all my Live Mail contacts and messages as a safeguard.

Then I 'repaired' Live Mail, but this made no difference to this folder of email messages.

Any ideas please?

“Mailto” web page hyperlinks opening Internet Explorer rather than Live Mail

Recently, whenever I click on a web page "mailto" hyperlink, instead of opening a Live Mail message blank, it opens  Internet Explorer. This phenomenon began after I installed the latest Windows 7 Update.  Live Mail is my only installed email program.

Windows Live Mail 2012 storage folders

Within the past week, I have had problems with putting emails into storage folders. I can put the email into a folder but when I go back to open an email in one of the folders, it will open a completely different email than the one that I originally put in the folder. It will be  completely different email as far as subject matter, date, sender, etc. I cannot find the original email that I put into that folder. In other words, I am losing emails that I put into storage folders. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Unable to open any attachments from windows live mail email without saving to desktop first

As of Sunday 11-17-2013 my Windows Live Mail has stopped allowing me to open any attachments directly from my emails including pdf, docx,  and excel spread sheets.  All have been from trusted sources.  I right clicked on the attachment icon and it will not Open or Print.  No error messages, just won't open.


The only work around I can find is to right click on the attachment icon and choose "save all....".  I can then save the attachment to my desktop and open it from there.


I am confused since I did not change any settings in Windows Live Mail and I could open the same attachments last week.


How can I change the settings so I can go back to opening the attachments directly?
