Hello,
I am trying to register financialconsultantsguide.com with domains.live.com and I get the error above. Please, note that the business is legitimate and already long time active. We are just trying to migrate to outlook.com.

Can you please help.

Thanks

We have just had a period of relative calm and continuity of service from Hotmail, but now it appears to be up and down like a yo-yo again. (10/10/2013) That's 10th October by the way.

What has gone wrong this time Mr/Mrs Microsoft, and PLEASE do not say anything about "latency".

I have the identical issue posted by dfclipsham in http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windowslive/forum/mail-email/outlookcom-is-unable-to-retrieve-e-mails-from-an/1f3252b3-0de0-40c6-bb5b-f42aa39ada0f?msgId=4b93fde5-c6cd-4b9a-bfc8-9d9adecbbca5. To summarize:
- i setup a 'send and receive' account with pop3 & smtp servers
- when I save the account, my email is retrieved from it.
- email is never subsequently retrieved from the pop3 account. when I look at the account settings, the pop3 server information is no longer there.

I see this error message in the account:
  • You can send email from this account.
  • 11:36 AM We couldn't get your messages: There was a problem connecting to the other server. If you've been seeing this message for a while, consider checking your account settings or contacting your other email service.

The pop3 server is just fine. I can send emails to it, and they appear immediately on my iPhone (which is configured to retrieve email using the identical pop3 server settings as outlook.com). But outlook.com only rerieves email from the account once, if I edit and 'Save' the account settings.

Ideally I would have been able to see the reply given to dfclipsham to see if it provided any clues on how to fix this, but all replies in these forums seem to go to a "private area".

Any suggestions on how to get outlook.com to reliably connect to and retrieve mail from pop3 servers?

Gregg

I have made a few videos using Movie Maker but I get a message saying that Movie Maker can't start and to check my computer meets the minimum system requirements although I'm still running the same Windows version, 2007 Home Premium.

Any guidance would be appreciated.

I just reset my password and logged into my hotmail account which i hadn't used for some time. All emails are gone. Googled and saw numerous threads about this with your switch to outlook. I can not restore from deleted folder. Is there any way to retrieve these emails? This seems like a very poor move.
After what I suspect was an attack on my computer via an Email I am unable to access the icons that appear just to the right of senders name as they have become invisible. Further the photograph icon at top right has become invisible but accessable.
Can I re-download Outlook to get back to the original working format?
Norton antivirus has completely swept my computer and all important passwords have been changed.
