I would like to ask is there any option in outlook.com to create alias email address which won't be able to sign in?
I would like very much to have that possibility, because such alias would be more safer to use over the net. We could have our main, primary email address just for signing and aliases for comfortable sharing over the net, because such aliases won't be
connected with our password. And any hacker etc, won't be able to hack our email if he has only our alias.
Such possibility has fastmail.fm for example. Their aliases are not connected with the password.

So, upon trying to log into my account, I get this lovely message on my other hotmail account.
I got it on my outlook account too, the one I'm posting this message via, though I'm reasonably sure neither account was actually compromised.
That said, at least with the outlook account, it gave the option to send a verification code to my phone. This worked just fine.
My Hotmail account, on the other hand, only gives email as an option...unfortunately it's still attached to a very, very old email account that can no longer get emails at all.
Why is there no phone option here?
Instead it asks for information I simply do not possess.
Oh, I got the birthday, security question, and all that....
But it also asks subject line of the last email I sent. Why in blazes would I even remember that?
Also asks for folders I created...I didn't create any, thus the point is moot.
Email addresses of contacts I've sent emails too...well, if I remembered email addresses, I wouldn't need a contact list, now would I?
Also billing information for my xbox live account....I don't have one of these.
Now, my hope is that the information I provided is going to be enough, otherwise I'm going to be even angrier than I already am at having my account seemingly erroneously locked.
I want to know if it is possible to write an email on outlook.com, save it to drafts, then open it, edit and send from my iphone. Currently when I do this the drafts written from my computer do not sync with the drafts folder on my iphone at all. I can
do this with other email providers like yahoo and email no problem: write them on one device, then send with another.
I have tried updating, logging in and out of both devices to refresh etc, but it seems impossible.

hello - i was with hotmail then outlook took over & outlook wont stay on - every hour or 2 it will shut down and make me sign back in - even thow i always click "keep me sign it" it wont - am having to sign in all throughout the day - hotmail always stayed
on & always saved my sign in info - my question is how do i make outlook stop loggin out - thank you

Many of my inbox emails have vanished. I have not adjusted account settings. I log into my account via the web regularly. The account has not been hacked. Recovering emails from the deleted folder has no affect. Folders and emails within folders appear to be untouched.
Can someone from Microsoft please investigate the issue with my account?
