I can open e mails to read, but when I try to send a reply or write a new e mail nothing happens.

On THIS a/c but not on my other Outlook.com/hotmail a/cs NEW and all the REPLY buttons died TODAY - they were working  OK up to now. Why is this and what is the fix?

I am on Win7 & IE9, all Microsoft products.

I want attachments to come not zipped unless zipped by sender and I want to send them not zipped..  I asked this question a couple of days ago and RoseKatrina_H replied with clarifying questions but I have not been able to get back to the link with her so my replies are here - Sorry RoseKatrina, hope I connect with you again
  • Do you send attachments from web-based Outlook or through a client - I send from web-based Outlook
  • Does it happen on particular file type - all file tyoes word, excel, pdf
  • Does it happen when accessing account on other browers - I encounter this problem on Firefox and Internet Explorer
  • Does it happen on another computer - yes, same problem

Thanks in advance for your advice!

Until a few days ago,   I could edit , crop, etc.   Now the crop has gone from the menu.    What happened and how do I correct this.
For  two days now I am unable to access my email page. Every time I sign in before I can do anything at all I get reverted to a search engine error page. I have tried contacting Microsoft about this but the service is useless and I need to get to my email. Is there a reason for this issue and if so how can I fix it?
Prior to downloading Office 365 our Quickbooks POS system created purchase orders, converted them to pdf's which then opened in our Windows Live 2011 email for sending.

I've now set up Outlook as our default email. (Connected to our gmail account via imap)  While our POS still creates the Purchase Order pdf and opens up the Outlook email template, when we send, it stays stuck in the outbox.  The pdf attachment is only 12KB, so I don't think size is the issue.

I notice the outbox is in our personal folder, not our gmail folder.  Could that be part of the problem and if so, how do I fix that?  Thanks.
I'm having to use a friends id because I can't get help!  I posted:

I followed the link.  The "responded to your support request"  was just asking me a couple of questions.  Something like did I change anything recently.  I can't login to see the actual questions.  However, I posted a response to the proposed questions.

The next email I received was:

Microsoft would like your feedback

Dear Microsoft Customer,

Thank you for using our services.  We would appreciate 2 minutes of your time to answer a few questions about your recent contact with our team...

I'm not going to type all that in.  It was a request for me to take a survey!  There idea of support was to ask me two (2) questions!  They provided NO answer/solution!  I took the survey.  Microsoft's wonderful support aside;

I can no longer log into my account.  Why?  hotmail/outlook.com is now requiring a cell phone/alternative email address for an account I have had since 1999.  I DO NOT have a cell phone.  I DO NOT want a digital leash (cell phone).  My hotmail email account is the only one I have.  It is the only one I've used.  It is crazy to create an account for the sole purpose of validating an existing account.  I don't want another password.  I don't want to occasionally log into an account just to keep it active so that it doesn't get disabled.

I am locked out of my account (and support) because I don't have a cell phone or alternative email address.
Dear Sir/Madam,

I have recently set up a Japanese restaurant and bought a new domain. I would like to set up e-mail for my domain but Microsoft has denied saying the domain name can't be used because it contain protected word or inappropriate language.

The domain name is www.fukudahk.com

Fukuda is a very common Japanese surname and which is also the surname of our chef, I do not believe this is in anyway inappropriate. I would be grateful if you can kindly help to resolve.

Thank You.

Best Regards,
Geoffrey
