I am trying to send a group newsletter. When I hit send, I get a message reminding me of the correct format an email address should be written. No characters other than letters, etc. But, I can send emails individually to the people. Help. This is
very frustrating and has NEVER been a problem until this week.

I have the same problem. I used Hotmail infrequently. Today I logged into Outlook mail for the first time and all my emails are gone - nothing in Inbox, Archive or Deleted. Nothing searchable. I tried following the suggestions at http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/outlook/recover-deleted-messages
but it didn't help.

Thank you for trying to help me figure out where emails went. I had 10 email addresses setup under 1 master email account.
When switching servers I posted the wrong MX records to my host. Rather than using the master email account I used one of the email address.
This deleted all my old emails and started afresh.
When I login to any of my emails on www.live.com its like setting up a new account. There are no email addresses associated with my Master account not.
Its there any way of getting back the information?

boy am I confused. My web address says https://blu171.mail.live.com/default.aspx?id=64855. Does that mean I'm using Windows live ? Everything else says or shows Outlook. Nothing says Win Live anywhere. Whether or not it's Outlook.com or Outlook, I don't know. I'm trying to find out why my contacts keep disappearing and I can't even follow the fix it steps `cause I'm too stupid to know which email system I use. I can't find any Win Live installations in Contrl Panel except Live Essentials 2011 (what's that good for anyway). CAn someone pls help me? thnx

My Outlook.com email account has been hacked. My password has been changed, my recovery phone number has been changed, and my recovery alternate email address has been changed. I am unable to provide much information in the account verification form
because I had not started using the account yet - I can't remember whether I had sent an email yet, and I didn't make any changes to folders or contacts.
I know the previous alternative email address, and the previous password, but this was not enough to pass the automated verification system.
However, I know a couple more important pieces of information which the form does not allow me to provide:
- I know the previous recovery phone number that was associated with the account
- I can tell you the date and time when the hacker requested a password reset code - because I unexpectedly received this code on my phone - I can provide this code)
- I know the exact date when I created the account
I set the language as English UK
but why is there chinese?
