I see in the discussions substantial issues re not only the interface of 2013 Outlook but also some technical matters. Reason to go to 2013 (or 2010) from my happy use of 2003 (2007 may have been similar) is that tech says must move to at least 2007 in order to park files and email on cloud, and that 2013 is easier to use whereby I will save files to cloud much as I currently save to a drive on server. As opposed tp a more complicated process with 2010.

Question: First: Does that single step file saving process require that I also have outlook 2013? (I dont understand why my email program should impact the file saving function.)

I need outlook 2013 the q is which hassle is greater--dealing with outlook 2013 or dealing with a two-step file saving process. I am averse to being a pioneer--2010 would be enough of a change, but some of the 2013 issues (headers in reading pane, so far, I cant figure out how to get single lines without headers into main inbox, general appearance etc) are indeed bothersome. Cosmetics count when you deal with it all day long.
When you want to save something in Microsoft word you are brought to the "Save as" page and under places there is a list; desktop or you can save to the web.  Your skydrive will also show up here, mine is not.  It was there a couple days ago but its not even a folder that would be listed where you can choose from desktop, recent places and so on. How can I get my skydrive shortcut back.
I don't ever want to use Word Web App when I'm skydrive.live.com. It's cumbersome to always right-click and click Open in Word. Is there a way to make SkyDrive open a Word file in Word without having to go through right-clicks or menus?

Also, I keep getting this annoying pop-up that tells me what file is opening and then I either need to click outside of it or click My document opened successfully or one of the choices if I had issues. Can I disable that pop-up as well?
I'm using SkyDrive on Windows Phone 7. If I share a picture via a link to my wife's outlook.com email address, the link displays as just plain text when she receives the email, it is not a clickable link. She has the Outlook.com app on her Andriod phone. When viewing the email on her phone using the app or using a web browser on a PC to log into outlook.com, it's the same result. How can I ensure that the links are active when she receives an email from SkyDrive?
I recently had to uninstall McAfee Virus definitions, system mechanic and DLL-files fixer. All had become non-functional e.g. blank screen for McAfee. No evidence of virus or malware or worms etc. Probably a script error, but unable to get satisfactory resolution from companies involved. I installed MSE and later made Win Live Mail my default from Win Mail. However when I try to compose an e-mail, Win Live Mail hangs. It wont even allow task manager to close it, but requires system reboot. I have switched back to Win Mail - at least it can send e-mails! However I would like to use the added functions of the Live program. I do not wish to uninstall MSE as it is now my only Virus protection. Is there any easy fix for this. I see others have similar problems but the fixes seem scarce at best?

Any help appreciated.

I recall reading only recently about the new outlook.com whereas I believe MSFT 365 was around longer so I assume not. Reason for asking is that I see some issues _no support for groups in contacts) with outlook.com
