Since my hotmail account has been hacked, if I open a new one and forward the contents from the old one, will it also be vulnerable?
If I open a new hotmail account, how do I forward all my emails from my current account into it?
My hotmail account has been hacked and I have now scanned my computer and reset my pw twice and spam is still being sent from from my hotmail account to my contacts. What else can I do?
I keep seeing the term " https://rendezvous.skype.com/skypeinoutlook-iframe.html?origin=bay174.mail.live.com...... " in my history, yet I get nothing but a blank page when trying to re-open it.  Other people are apparently experiencing the same issue, with no anwers when questioned.  Has there been a response to this problem yet?  Thanks

I recently added two Kid accounts via windowsphone.com after getting them Windows Phone 8 phones. The live accounts initially did not have the first and last name set (hastily created by a rep at the phone store), so I modified them to have first and last name set. However, when I go to the 'Microsoft Family Safety Settings' page from the 'My Family' section on the windowsphone.com site, these two 'Kids' have no names associated with them. They are blank, so you have "'s Windows Phone" for example. I modified the 'MS live' accounts two days ago, and on the windowsphone.com 'My Family' page, their names do appear.

I have not gone into the Family Safety configuration on my Windows 8 Desktop machine at all... After all, these are just phones. I'd have expected there to be a web mechanism to do all this.

Is this just a very slow data migration problem from the 'live' accounts to the Family Safety site? I cannot find a way to edit the 'Kid' names on the Family Safety website.

Thanks for any advice!

I posted earlier regarding my lost e-mails after upgrading to Outlook.com last week, but so far, the only response I received is this:

"Dear Scott_YS,
Your issue has been escalated and you will be provided with additional help by one of our support agents. Please click on the URL below to view your issue https://support.microsoft.com/oas/default.aspx?tp=il&incno=1218372794&tenant=WOL&sd=winlive."

For a week, no support agents have come in my way to help, and I am getting desperate to get my e-mails back as soon as possible.

Can someone please do something productive to restore my e-mails, instead of just messaging me the exact same response that 'your issue has been escalated'?

I am re-posting my previous post here, so some other forum moderators or support agents can read it as well:

Like many people posting to this forum, my account's e-mails have been deleted after upgrading to Outlook.com.

I read the moderator's replies, so I am answering those questions being asked.

· When was the account switched to Outlook.com?

- today (September 25, 2013)

- right after Outlook.com upgrade

· Did you have issues logging in before noticing data loss – did you have to reset his/her password?

- yes, I had to reset the password when I tried to log in; asked me to confirm codes sent to my mobile phone

· Did you click on any link before the issue occurred?

- no

· Did you try to deactivate/close before the issue occurred?

- yes, without realizing what deactivate would do, I clicked 'deactivate'

· When was the last time you logged into your account?

· Description of the data lost (all messages before a date, date ranges, estimated number etc.)

- more than 1000 e-mails, over 10 or more yaers

· Do you have folders? Are they nested? Is the mail missing from the inbox or a folder?

- no, I did not have folders

· Are you seeing the missing mails on a mobile device or the web UI, or a mail client program

- 3 e-mails sent to my iPhone mail app are still being seen

A fast solution would be very appreciated.

I forward e-mails from several mail providers to Outlook.com. Over the last few weeks I have noticed that emails that have been confirmed delivered to col0-mc4-f.col0.hotmail.com (our e-mail provider keeps a full history of server communications), is just nowhere to be found in Outlook.com.

I have checked the following:
1. Confirmed the message is not in Junk Mail
2. Confirmed that not one of the senders is in my Blocked Senders List
3. Confirmed that there is no rule for sorting email that might delete an email.

In desperation, I have now tried to just clear my Blocked Senders list completely. I've had such high hopes to use Outlook.com as a replacement for the dodgy imap performance from Gmail, but I'll have to move back quickly if I can't receive mail reliably.

Underneath 3 receipt acknowledgements with no e-mails to be found anywhere on Outlook.com.

Is there anything that can be done to recover these emails or are they gone forever?
