There is no option “Send/Recive” on Outlook.com and unable to receive mails but can send
My issue regarding accessing my old email address is still ongoing. I opened a thread awhile ago under http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windowslive/forum/wlsecurity/cannot-verify-account/1660d2b7-f277-4980-a376-379955b8980e but it's now closed due to lack of feedback. The last time I responded I never receive a response back so gave up but I'm still determined to get into my account.
I recently, for the fun of it being possibly the 12th time, tried to reset my password but this time around my new mobile number came up so I could finally confirm the reset - joy. I was sent a code, reset my password and logged in only to be confronted by the dreaded "It looks like someone else is using your account" message. I had to confirm my account again but this time when I went to select the mobile number to confirm, only my old number shows up....
This has been going on for probably over a year now and I think we can all agree that taking over a year to try and unlock my account is ridiculous. Please don't ask me to fill in the questionnaire again as I've explained I've done this more times than I care to remember. I understand you take security very seriously and I credit you for that but when it comes to the point where it actually hinders the user from getting into his account at all, it ends up boiling down to your better judgement or never being able to access their account ever again.
Can someone who is willing to help actual advise how I can prove I'm the owner of my original email when I can no longer use the methods provided?
On a side note I know it may sound like I'm being rude but please understand it's taken over a year to try and get into my email and I'm no further from day 1 of trying so I apologise if this is taken personally.
Kind regards
Hello,
I have been experiencing an issue for the past few weeks where hotmail.com on the web and email through iPhone are out of sync. I have emails that have been read on hotmail.com on my computer but appears not read on my iPhone 5s. This is especially true if I do a mass "mark read" when viewing it on hotmail.com on my computer. However, if I read an email one at a time, it appears to sync just fine.
I have also performed a reconfig by deleting the account off the iPhone and readding it and the emails sycn up fine initially but will behave the same once I perform a mass "mark read" in Outlook.com on my computer.
I have seen other posts with sync issues where Microsoft support has done something to the account to resolve it. Can I get help with mine?
Thank you,
I am unable to access her computer and would like the time set to reasonable hours so she is encouarged to sleep between midnight and 5 am!
Is there anything I can do and if not myself then her housemistress; she is away at school.
I have:
Opened in Safe mode, Outlook/Safe and got a warning
Tried to find Trust Center, I don't have it, I do not believe I have Add-ins anyway
Cleared cache
Ran Microsoft full scan
Uninstalled McFee which loads every time I update Adobe
Searched Firefox Help
I have tried so many other ways. Please can you help? I can't afford to to upgrade to the full version of Office and do not need it. If you suggest uninstalling Outlook will I loose everything? If I uninstall Office I am afraid I will not be able to to reinstall it because I do not have a key. I can not receive a message from Microsoft that I got a response to my question because I can't receive e-mails. How can I find out if someone responds to my question easily in this forum (via internet}?
Thank you.
I will try to explain this, but it might be a challenge.
I have primary Microsoft account. I use this for my windows phone, my xbox, and my windows 8 machines. A while back, I jumped on the bandwagon and grabbed an outlook.com account separate from my Microsoft account because I wanted "my name" @outlook.com.
I currently have my main Microsoft account which I use for everything(uses a gmail email address), and a separate outlook.com email.
I want my outlook.com address to be my main address and login for everything, but when I go to switch my address on my account it says that I cannot switch to an existing account.
How can I make this happen?
