I keep receiving duplicate and triplicate copies of messages.

I have the properties of my email account set to "Leave copy of messages on server" in Advanced Properties.  If I uncheck that choice the duplicates stop but then when I open email on my phone using the Xfinity email app no messages will appear since the last time I retrieved messages in windows.

What am I doing wrong?
