We  cannot remember the password for my wife's laptop and therefor cannot access the laptop at all. we have tried various versions of what it could be but to no avail, can any one help us or do we just throw it in the bin and buy another one. computer outlets tell us that there is no way to access our laptop without the password, is this true?
