I have created a movie using Movie Maker that I want to watch on my television. The Movie Maker setting is for an aspect ratio of 16:9, and when I play the .wmv file by itself that is the aspect ratio that is used. So I then use DVD Maker to burn the movie to a DVD. I select Options->DVD Aspect Ratio of 16:9. I then import a second short .wmv file to play in the foreground and background. When I preview the movie everything looks great, the foreground/background video is the correct aspect ratio and when I select "Play" (from the DVD menu) the movie plays with the correct aspect ratio. I then hit "Burn" and burn it to a DVD. When the burn is done I insert it back into the same player that burned it and the movie starts. The foreground/background video is the correct aspect ratio, but when I select "Play" the movie itself changes to 4:3. If I play the DVD in my XBOX 360 or PS3 I get the same result. What is going on? Why doesn't the DVD match the preview? How can I fix this? Any help would be appreciated.

Setup:

Windows 7

Windows Movie Maker version 2012 (Build 16.4.3528.0331)

Windows DVD Maker
