Hi!

I have a recording of a Webinar that I would like to post and I need the file size to be under 50 MB. The original file for a 48-minute video is 121 MB in mp4 format.

Here's what I've done and the results I got:

  • I have split the video into 3 15 to 17 minutes parts
  • To each part, I have added one picture for 3 seconds, a title for 3 second and a still generic for 3 seconds.
  • When  saved the project (best for the project), I got 3 files : 121 MB, 158 MB and 333 MG.
  • I then found HandBrake online and applied it to each video. I now have 3 files: 30 MB, 35 MB and 88 MB.

I tried going back to the original file and using handbrake on it. After adding my picture for 3 seconds and my generic for 3 seconds, the final file size was 618 MB!

It looks like Movie Maker is doubling the size of the file each time I save it as an MP4 file, even when I cut the movie instead of adding to it. Does anyone know what's going on?
