Hello I have 2011 movie maker with windows 7 and there is apparently a later version available (2012) 

the issue is that preparation of files takes too long (it's not a huge file it's 250mb) and it crashes before finishing

I cannot see any advanced option in settings to stop movie maker from preparation as advised in sevral other posts.

any help appreciated
