I have been running Movie Maker 2011 beautifully on my Dell Inspiron 17 for the past four years.

I decided to upload to Movie Maker 2012, and what a wrong decision that was! When I got my first error message, I immediately removed the software, thinking I could go back to my tried and true Movie Maker 2011. Alas, I received the same error message.

After three days of going back and forth with Microsoft and Dell, it was determined that my driver was out of date on the Microsoft side, but Dell had no update to solve the problem. 

My question is, is there ANYTHING I can do to restore my Movie Maker on this computer. Why would Microsoft change the requirements for the older MM 2011, making it impossible for me to access the older Movie Maker? 

Can anyone help me, PLEASE? I would be willing to pay for a driver upgrade, if I knew where to find it! Thank you for any suggestions.
