Everything was working fine in WLM for all three of my Gmail accounts. Then, on one account, I was troubled to discover that Google was tracking me as I took pictures around town and I got an email notice “X was just at Y mall”. So I went to that gmail account online and bumped around to delete those pics and the red dots in Google maps that showed all the places I had visited and turn off tracking. Something I did there then prevented me from getting and sending my mail (for just that account) via Windows Live Mail. What could I have changed in my on-line account to cause that to happen?

I now get

“Unable to send or receive messages for the X (g) account. An incorrect password was entered. The next time you send or receive messages, you'll be asked to enter your user name and password for this account.

Server Error: 0x800CCC90
Server Response: -ERR [AUTH] Username and password not accepted.
Server: 'pop.gmail.com'
Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x800CCC92
Protocol: POP3
Port: 995
Secure(SSL): Yes

I enter over and over and run in the same circle. I have changed the password (both online and at WLM) and that did not help. I deleted the account in WLM and recreated is as per the original (I had screen shots saved) but nothing helped. All other gmail email from other account comes and goes just fine. So this had to be something I did to that one account when I was trying to lock down my privacy and sharing and tracking online because the problem only arose after I did that exercise. All other gmail accounts in WLM send and receive just fine except the one I worked with online. In that process I did not go into the online email settings to change those (e,g, pop3 etc. I did not touch any of that.) All changes were made at my online gmail "My Account Control, protect, and secure your account, all in one place.”

So, what could I have changed in my on-line account to cause that to happen at WLM?
