The storage folders in our computer disappeared recently. One day they were all there, the next day all the folders with useful information had disappeared.

Looking in storage folders again, there are, within deleted items, some recovered folders which have one or two emails within most of them but not the required folders.

I have tried all advice that I can see here and elsewhere. Is there any way that hidden folders that have disappeared can be retrieved? Could the disappearance be due to windows having updated?
