This is so crazy, the other day I did a video and it was in the format of mp4 i think or maybe it wasn't - im losing my mind. Anyways I just finished a video and am trying to upload to movie maker it saved the video in the format of MTS so I converted it to AVI which I thought movie maker would open, now I keep getting an error message:

F:PRIVATEAVCHDBDMVSTREAM0001.avi could not be imported. The required codec was not downloaded automatically because the Download codecs automatically check box is not selected in the Options dialog box.

CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME as to what steps I need to do to get this to upload...it acts like it wants to upload and then it stops.  Also I converted using a program called: Converter Lite - which took forever to convert. Is there a way to have my video camera which is a JVC already save in a format movie maker can recognize.  It is so weird cause i did a video the other day and movie maker imported now it doesn't and I never had to even convert thanks
