Dear all,

My customer has a new mac book and I would like to transfer his existing OLM file from outlook 2011 software of the mac book to the new mac book.

Both office mac 2011 is running latest update 10.1.4.

The OLM file is about 60GB big. Some of the archive folders were imported from the .PST files from windows platform.

However when i tried to export out around 14gb, it came out an error message, crashed and closed the exporting.

error signature:

exception: exc_bad_access

******

Things I have done.

1. Latest office update on both machines

2. backup the database of the OLM

Repair / rebuild the database > try export again ---- failed

3. Copy the database to the new mac book, replace the identities  ----- Have the emails that was in the exchange, not those archived emails.

I would like to seek if there is any way that I can export this successfully to transfer to the new mac book.

Appreciate for any helpful advise and assistance.

  1. I completely understand the state your client would be in however as a point of fact there’s no effectual option available for manual operation to export mails. In addition you can search for converter tools online; there’s this one conversion utility that I’m familiarized to which converts Mac OLM files to MBOX since MBOX file format can also be accessed in Mac mail so it’ll be easier for you rather.
