I have Security Essentials installed of my desktop and laptop PC's.  Performing a Quick Scan seems to function correctly, but the Full Scan never completes, even after 26 hours of processing the request. This problem occurs on both computers. Why?

I have uninstalled and reinstalled Microsoft SE, but the problem remains.  I have uninstalled SE and then run AVG's and Norton's protection (seperate times) and both complete Full Scans in 1-2 hours. Consequently, my conclusion is SE has some inherent fault that will force me to select another protection supplier.

Any thoughts or comments please.
